How does VIA Racked relate to VIA Detect?

VIA Detect reads street-level and aerial imagery to inventory outside plant: poles, attachments, addresses, and route equipment. VIA Racked reads rack imagery to inventory inside plant. They share the approach and the engineering discipline, but they are architecturally separate, with different models, different training data, and no shared pipeline. Inside plant has no geospatial dimension, so coupling them would add complexity without value.

Is VIA Racked software we license?

No. Clients engage pureIntegration to solve an inventory or capacity problem. VIA Racked is one of the technologies our team uses to do that work. You receive reconciled findings, not a seat license.

What does the field team have to do?

Photograph each rack front and rear with the capture app, following the on-screen protocol for distance and framing. The app handles site, room, row, rack, and RU metadata automatically. A current-generation smartphone is the only hardware you need.

What if our racks have dense or unmanaged cabling?

Obstructed faceplates reduce label read yield. Device class and RU position hold up better than label reads in those conditions. pureIntegration flags racks with severe obstruction for a supplemental capture instead of reporting them at low confidence.

What if we do not have a DCIM to reconcile against?

Many operators do not have a DCIM, or have one degraded enough that reconciliation output would not be meaningful. In that case, the audit becomes the baseline. Findings are delivered into pureIntegration DCIM Lite, which gives you a clean starting system of record built from verified results.

Does this replace real-time infrastructure monitoring?

No. VIA Racked is a point-in-time audit. It establishes an accurate baseline and can be re-run on a scheduled cadence. The audit doesn't integrate with live telemetry feeds.

Can pureIntegration perform the capture?

Yes. Where operator policy restricts photography or field staff are unavailable, pureIntegration personnel can perform capture under operator supervision.
