What is an ISP or data center audit?
A data center audit is a structured comparison of the physical equipment in a facility against the records that are supposed to describe it. The output is a verified rack-level inventory and a categorized list of every discrepancy found.
Which facilities does this apply to?
Any facility that tracks rack-mounted equipment in a DCIM, OSS, or spreadsheet, including headends, hub sites, central offices, POPs, colocation space, and enterprise data centers.
What does my team have to do in the field?
Photograph each rack front and rear using the capture app. The app handles site, room, row, rack, and RU metadata automatically. Any current-generation smartphone works.
What if we do not have a DCIM?
Many operators do not have a DCIM, or have one that is too degraded to reconcile against. pureIntegration can deliver the audit output into DCIM Lite, which gives you a clean baseline system of record built from verified findings.
How accurate is the detection?
Device class and RU position are the most reliable outputs. Make and model reads depend on label legibility at the capture point. pureIntegration captures serial and asset tags by barcode or QR scan rather than text recognition. Accuracy thresholds are agreed before every engagement.
Does this replace real-time monitoring?
No. This is a point-in-time audit. The audit establishes an accurate baseline and can repeat on a schedule to keep it current.
Can pureIntegration perform the capture for us?
Yes. When operator policy restricts photography or field staff aren't available, pureIntegration personnel can perform capture under operator supervision.
